Scott’s Services LLC has only had one across the board price increase since 2015. Being a small business means less overhead, great value, awesome customer service and individualized attention. However, it also means less income and walking a narrow line between profitability and struggling to keep solvent in an ever changing business environment. During the winter off season, Scott’s Services LLC commissioned an analysis of the area in respect to business costs, competition, and licensure. As a result of this, some of you will receive an individual summary and 2025 outlook including pricing changes. We strive to keep prices low in many ways, including:
1. Routing smart
2. Minimizing unnecessary expenses
3. Bulk purchases when possible
4. Cash discount
5. Referral discount
6. As needed mowings*
7. Buying quality (but expensive) equipment
8. Maintaining equipment in top notch condition
9. Offering discounts in combination with other services
Effective March 1, 2025, all pricing will adjust to a TBD rate. This amount will depend on two main factors:
1. Washington DC policies (example: tariffs/taxes (and perceived future policies))
2. Cost of business (equipment, fuel, oil, chemicals, labor, maintenance, liability insurance, etc.)
Adjustment Rate: TBD by 2/20/25
Some individual lawns/services will adjust higher/lower than the overall rate. You will be notified by March 1 of this new price.
You will still pay less and receive quality work compared to the big companies and other small business owners.
